BC14 bulc-carrier "Pomor'e" delivered the first lot of anthracite mined in the region of Dikson settlement

According to information of press-servise of OJSE "Murmansk Shipping Company", BC14 bulk-carrier "Pomor'e" (DWT 23700 t, Arc 4 Arctic ice category) arrived to the port of Murmansk on 01.06.2016. She delivered the first lot of anthtacite mined in the region of Dikson settlement on the territory of Dolgano-Nenetck Disrtict, the Krasnoyarsk Territory (Taimyr). Coal transshipment should be carried out from mv "Pomor'e" to mv "Lyulin" at the roads of Kola Bay.
 
BC14 project was designed by the Marine Engineering Bureau (conceptual design; calculated, general-projected and hull parts of classification project) and China Design University (equipment, rigging and workshop drawings).
 
At the end of 2015 the Murmansk Shipping Company conducted a long-term contract with "Arkticheskaya Gornaya Kompaniya" (included into UC VostokUgol) concerning transportation of 5 million tons of cargo.
 
The bulk-carrier "Pomor'e" was built in 2007 at Cxengxi Shipyard in JianYyin town (Jiangsu province, China).
 
Vessel's overall length is 180.50 m, breadth is 22.86 m, depth is 13.50 m, Summer Freeboard draught is 9.91 m.
 
Vessel has 7 cargo holds, double bottom and double sides. She is assigned for transportation of bulk, grain, general cargoes, un-liquefied ore concentrate and dangerous goods of 1, 1.4S, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 8, 9 classes of IMDG Code and cargoes of category B of BC Code.
 
BC14 vessel's class notation of Russian Maritime Register of Shipping is KM Arc4 AUT1 bulk carrier BC-A (ESP).
 
Summarized capacity of cargo holds is of 25440 cubic m. Deadweight is of 23700 tons.
 
Container capacity is 512 TEU.
 
Main engine's capacity is 8243 kW; it uses profit-proved heavy fuel (masout).
 
Cruising speed is of 15.2 kn. Sailing distance is of 9000 miles.
 
The keel of vessel "Pomor'e" was laid down on 24.11.06. She was put into operation on 31.07.07. Totally five BC14 bulkers were built.
