Lead dry-cargo ship's keel (007RSD07 prj.) was laid down for group of companies "Azov-Don Shipping Company"

On December, 26, 2007 at 11 a.m. the keel of lead multi-purpose dry-cargo motorship of 007RSD07 project with two full-circle rudder propellers was laid down at Volgograd shipyard (Igor Glushakov is a general director) which is included in group of the companies "Marine and oil-and-gas projects" (MOP). Vessel's deadweight is of 7200 tons. Shipyard building number is of 231.
 
4 bottom and 2 side sections were made by the moment of keel laying down.
 
The vessel is of "Volga-Don Max" type and is assigned for group of companies "Azov-Don Shipping Company" (Mikhail Shvalev is a general director).
 
Aleksandr Gorbat'ko supervises vessel's building from customer's side.
 
Vessel's project is designed by the Marine Engineering Bureau (MEB).
 
007RSD07 prj. vessel is the biggest due to deadweight Russian dry-cargo vessel that satisfies all the requirements for permanent operation through Volga-Don canal.
 
The vessel is assigned for transportation of general, bulk, timber, grain and large-sized cargoes, up to 9' ISO containers, dangerous goods of 1, 1.4S, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 8, 9 classes of IMDG Code and cargoes of category B of BC Code. Sailing regions are Mediterranean, Black, Baltic, White, and North Seas.
 
Russian Maritime Register of Shipping class of the project is of KM LU1 IISP A3. The project satisfies all the requirements of international conventions which were actual at the laying down of the vessel's keel.
 
Vessel's overall length is of 139.99 m, overall breadth is of 16.70 m, breadth without taking into account side fenders is of 16.50 m, depth is of 6.00 m.
 
Summarized capacity of cargo holds is of 11000 m³, total container capacity is of 274 TEU, while holds' container capacity is of 204 TEU. Deadweight in the sea is of 7215 tons, deadweight with the river draught of 3.60 m is of 4787 tons.
 
All holds are box-shaped, smooth-wall, convenient for carrying out the freight works and placing a cargo without shifting.
 
The cargo holds' sizes are of 29.9x12.7 (hold Nos. 2, 3, 4) and 15.6x12.7 m (hold No. 1) with the height of 8.4 m.
 
Cargo holds are equipped by removable hatch covers served by gantry crane.
 
Designed cruising speed is of 10.5 kn.
 
Two medium-speed diesels (main engine) of 1120 kWt each use heavy fuel oil with viscosity of IFO700.
 
Heavy fuel stores are placed in deep-tanks in area of the ER fore bulkhead, separated from outside water by double bottom and double sides.
 
Movement and manoeuvrability is provided by two stern full-circle rudder propellers with variable-pitch propellers (diameter is of 2000 mm) in nozzles.
 
Sea sailing autonomy is of 30 day, river sailing autonomy is of 10 day. Crew consists of 13 persons (15 places).
 
Designed vessel hull' life term is of 24 years.
 
The double bottom is designed for distributed load intensity of 7.5 t/m² that allows to use a bucket grab with cargo-lifting capacity 16 tons.
 
Vessel's keel was laid down on 26.12.07.
