The Note of thanks from Secretary of UNECE for the valuable contribution of the Bureau to the work of the Working Party on the Standardization of Technical Safety Requirements in Inland Navigation is received.
 
As it was informed earlier, the 56^th session of the Working Party on the Standardization of Technical Safety Requirements in Inland Navigation (SC.3/WP.3) of the Inland Water Transport Committee of the UN Economic Commission for Europe (UNECE) took place on February 12-14, 2020. The session was carried out under the aegis of the UN Economic and Social Council in the Palace of the Nations at Geneva.
 
Due to invitation of the UNECE, the Marine Engineering Bureau participated in the workout of the meeting concerning the European river-sea transport, as an independent expert.
 
Secretary of the UNECE rated high work of the Bureau, having sent the Note of thanks.

On behalf of the Secretary of the UN Economic Commission for Europe, let to express gratitude for the valuable contribution of the Marine Engineering Bureau to work of the 56^th session of the Working Party on the Standardization of Technical Safety Requirements in Inland Navigation (February, 12-14, 2020), especially for the detailed analysis of conditions and prospects for "river-sea" vessels, resulted in the presentation made by A.G. Egorov within the round table framework of discussion concerning "river-sea" transportations.
 
I want to emphasize the exclusive meaning of the given report at the all-European level for states-members UNECE and other major key participants engaged in "river-sea" transportation, and also for development of the given type of transport.
