Cruise navigation in 2021 was opened by the newest PV300 cruise vessel "Mustai Karim" with a passenger capacity of 329 people



0n 01.05.2021 the cruise navigation was opened by the FIRST, built in 60 years at domestic shipyards, PV300 river cruise passenger vessel "Mustai Karim" with a passenger capacity of 329 people of the "Vodokhod" company.
 
The vessel set off for the voyage from the Northern river station in Moscow.
 
"Last year, "Mustai Karim" successfully completed its first navigation. The launch of "Mustai Karim" in operation is a truly unique event not only for Vodokhod, but for the entire shipbuilding and cruise industry of Russia. "Mustai Karim" is not just a vessel., and a new five-star hotel on the water of the "river-sea" class. In 2020, "Mustai Karim" made 12 voyages, since navigation began two months later. This year, the vessel will pass its first full navigation, the number of voyages will already be three times more. In 2021 "Mustai Karim" will operate from Moscow, St. Petersburg, Nizhny Novgorod, Kazan, Rostov-on-Don, Anapa. We increased the number of weekend cruises to Uglich, Tver, Myshkin, introduced more flights along the Volga to Yaroslavl, Ples, Rybinsk, Tutaev" - said Rishat Bagautdinov, general director of the Vodokhod company.
 
"Mustai Karim" is our first cruise ship. And not only ours, but also Russian - in the modern history of the country there has not yet been a case of building such a vessel. We are glad that the "floating five-star hotel" has been in high demand among those wishing to make a river trip for the second year already. We hope that the second vessel of the project will soon join it on the river routes. Investments in such projects are investments in shipbuilding, and at the same time - in the development of tourism infrastructure, if you like, in the rediscovery of Russia by our compatriots. We hope that in Russia they will continue to renew the cruise fleet, replenishing it with excellent steamers" - noted the General Director of the USC Alexei Rakhmanov.
 
The project of this vessel, which until recently seemed fantastic, was created in 2010-2015 by the Marine Engineering Bureau by order of the Federal Agency for Maritime and River Transport of Russia within the framework of the FTP "Development of Civil Marine Engineering for 2009-2016" (state customer - program coordinator - Ministry industry and trade of the Russian Federation).
 
On the night of August 28-29, 2020, for the FIRST TIME in history, a large PV300 cruise vessel "Mustai Karim" with passengers on board passed under the raised bridges on the Neva in St. Petersburg.
 
The purpose of such an option on a cruise is to be docked at the English Embankment in the city center.
 
The construction of a cruise vessel of the PV300 project was carried out at the Krasnoye Sormovo shipyard in accordance with a trilateral contract signed in January 2017 - Krasnoye Sormovo, Vodokhod and the captive leasing company Mashpromleasing.
 
Capacity of the PV300 4-deck cruise liner is 329 passengers, that are arranged in comfortable double cabins of 19-46 sq. m area.
 
The vessel works at the long cruise lines Moscow - St. Petersburg, Moscow - Astrakhan and Moscow - Rostov-on-Don.
 
The vessel has "all the attributes of a five-star hotel", including supporting passenger infrastructure.
 
Restaurant on the main deck is of 329 seats, so it is able to arrange all the passengers including children.
 
Public spaces of passengers are located along the entire length of the ship on four tiers of the superstructure, including the Agidel restaurant, Iremel restaurant, wine library, Bashkiria bar, Panorama bar, conference hall, SPA center, hairdresser, massage office, sauna, hammam, gym, gift shop, medical center, children's and playroom, 24-hour reception, open sun deck, lifts, bike rental.
 
Lifts connected all decks, communications and toilets, enlarged passageways and absence of obstacles for wheelchairs are foreseen for passengers with limited mobility.
 
Vessel will give the chance to make a water journey along the chosen route through the European part of RF. During the voyage vessel should call the ports where walking and bus excursions to cultural, historical, natural sights and coastal resort zones are organized. Accommodation with five-star hotel comfort will be provided. There will be possibility of realization of the most various forms of leisure onboard the vessel: bars, discos, sun bath, swimming in the pool, fitness, walks through vessel's open spaces or conversation with a wine glass in a hand, viewing beauty of coast, screening of movies or performances, visiting performance of actors or famous people, listening of lectures, participating in work of creative teams, communication with friends, or simply rest in the cabin with open, i.e. French balcony.
 
Passanger capacity for ordinary existence vessels of "Volga-Don Max" class (301 and 302 projects) with now-days cabins is 200-220 people. At the new PV300 concept with the same overall dimensions about 300-350 passengers may be arranged very comfortable.
 
All passenger cabins are located on upper, boat and tent decks. There are no passenger cabins on the main deck, where crew members work during mooring, sluicing, passengers' deboarding, cargo operations and where may be high noise level or passengers' disturbed factors.
 
On board one "Grand Luxe" cabin with a balcony, two "Lux" cabins with a balcony; six "Lux" cabins, 140 "Deluxe" cabins and two "Junior" cabins, including those for passengers with limited mobility.
 
Standard cabins include refrigerator, LCD TV, air conditioning, wireless internet, external / internal telephone, radio, carpeted flooring, day / night window curtains, shower accessories, large mirrors and designer lighting. Dense night curtains allow you to relax in the daytime, table lamps - to read for the coming sleep, without disturbing your companions.
 
Accommodation in the passenger area, including cabin blocks and public spaces, was developed by individual project by Geser.
 
All cabins are equipped with eco-friendly materials, designer furniture and accessories. The rooms are decorated in restrained light colors and include elements of natural wood (designed by Guido de Groot).
 
Cabin "Grand Lux" with a balcony - a cabin of increased comfort of 46 sq. m with a balcony of 10 sq. m and a viewing window, located on the middle deck in the bow of the vessel. This two-room suite can accommodate from 2 to 4 passengers. The cabin is equipped with one double or two single beds, bedside tables with lamps, upholstered furniture, a coffee table, a wardrobe for placing things, clothes and luggage. The sanitary conveniences has a bath, shower, toilet.
 
Cabin "Lux" with a balcony - a cabin of increased comfort with an area of 24 sq. m with a balcony of 4-6 sq. m and a viewing window is located on the middle deck in the bow of the vessel. The room is designed for 2 + 1 people. Equipped with a comfortable double bed or two single beds, two bedside tables with table lamps, a large wardrobe. In the sanitary conveniences there is a bath with a shower, a toilet.
 
Cabins "Lux" - cabins with an area of 37 sq. m with large panoramic windows located in the bow of the ship on the middle deck. The room is designed for 2 + 1 people with a comfortable double or two single beds, two bedside tables with table lamps, a soft sofa, a coffee table, a large wardrobe. In the sanitary conveniences there is a bath with a shower, a toilet.
 
Deluxe Cabins are 19 sq. M. Double cabins. m with observation windows, which are located on the middle, boat, upper decks. The cabin has a comfortable double bed or two single beds, bedside tables, a dressing table with a large mirror, an armchair, a coffee table. Sanitary conveniences with shower, hairdryer, toilet, towels, bath accessories.
 
Cabins "Junior" - cabins with an increased area of 29 sq. m with large panoramic windows, which are located in the bow of the ship on the middle deck.
 
One of the cabins is equipped for passengers with limited mobility. This cabin has a wide entrance door and a special bathroom. The width of the aisles in the cabin and the adjacent corridor meets the requirements for the carriage of passengers with limited mobility.
 
Vessel of the new PV300 concept has the following main particulars:

During the tests, the vessel showed a speed of 25 km per hour with a contract speed of 22.5 km per hour.
 
Movement and maneuverability of the vessel is provided by two stern full-turned rudder propellers with fixed-pitch propellers in nozzles.
 
500 kW bow thruster of "screw in a tube" type with fixed-pitch propeller is foreseen for increasing of low speed controllability during passing narrows and during mooring.
 
Power plant includes two diesel engines with maximal continuous rate about 1200 kW each working towards full-turned rudder propellers; auxiliary unit consisting of three diesel-generators (electrical capacity of 760 kW each), emergency diesel-generator (electrical capacity of 150 kW), and boiler plant consisting of single 800 kW heaters and three 170 kW economizers.
 
Taking into consideration 470 people onboard the vessel, in accordance with RRR Rules the following equipment is arranged onboard the vessel: two motor rescue boats (8 people each), 16 life rafts (25 people each) and 2 marine evacuation systems that provide 200 people boarding without entering into water.
