Marine Engineering Bureau named winner in the "Fleet Renewal 2020" category of Ukraine's National Maritime Rating

According to Ukrainian National Maritime Rating held by "Ports of Ukraine" publishing house (the rating is held for the fourteenth time) Marine Engineering Bureau won the nomination "Fleet Renovation 2020" as design company according to which 34 new and converted vessels with the total deadweight of 195 thousand tons were built and put into operation in different countries.
 
These include the world's first built crab factory vessel, a large stern freezer trawler-processor, the first river cruise passenger vessel built by domestic shipbuilding in 60 years, and the first arctic-class cargo-passenger vessel for Sakhalin in 30 years, multifunctional shallow-sea salvage and rescue vessel-tugboat with Arctic class, river-sea chemical tanker, 17 river-sea dry cargo vessels, three dry cargo barges, the first bunker tanker in Baikal - ecological vessel, etc.
 
In 2020, the Bureau continued to be active in scientific activities - research results and new developments were presented at various international conferences and forums around the world, including online events. The staff of the Bureau has published more than 60 printed papers:

• N.V. Avtutov, Director of Advanced Development, Chief Designer;
• A.E. Nilva, PhD, Senior Research Fellow;

A feature of 2020 has been the widest use of online platforms for organising various events, including webinars.
 
Maritime Engineering Bureau together with PortNews held FOUR webinars on various topical aspects of shipping, shipbuilding and design in 2020, setting, in fact, a NEW communication FORMAT for professionals and students.
 
The winners were congratulated in a ceremony on 21 May 2021.
