The lead cargo-passenger vessel "Anatoly Cherneev" of the PV24 project was launched to operate between ports and port points in Kamchatka



On 30 August 2021, the lead cargo-passenger vessel of the PV24 project (NE-020.2) was launched for operations between ports and port points in Kamchatka and the Commander Islands (construction number 7001).
 
The customer is the "Directorate of the State Customer of Maritime Transport Development Programmes".
 
The design documentation for the vessel under construction in the project PV24 (NE-020.2) was developed by the Marine Engineering Bureau.
 
The vessel is designed to carry 36 passengers, general cargo, containers (including refrigerated cargo) between ports and port points in Kamchatka, as well as to the Commander Islands, and is equipped with a cargo crane with the ability to perform cargo operations on an unequipped shore.
 
The new PV24 project concept has improved manoeuvrability compared to existing vessels with a thruster and 2 propellers. The capacity of the two holds is 1405 cubic metres (compared to 208-215 cubic metres on existing vessels). The vessel has the ability to carry 27 containers (18 in the holds and 9 on deck). Traffic redundancy is provided by a twin-shaft twin-engine unit.
 
Maximum length - 75.36 m. Estimated length - 70.84 m. Estimated width - 13.98 m. Height - 5.50 m.
 
Passengers are accommodated in a deluxe block cabin with an individual bathroom and bath; 3 junior suites with an individual bathroom and shower; 15 double cabins with an individual bathroom and shower; a mother and child cabin with an individual bathroom and shower. The total number of fixed sleeping places for passengers is 36.
 
There is a dining room with a seating area, a buffet, a lobby and promenade areas for passengers.
 
The medical facilities include a single sanitary isolation cabin with an individual bathroom with a bathtub, a one-bed in-patient unit with an individual bathroom with a shower and an out-patient clinic.
 
With a draft of 3.70 metres, the vessel has a deadweight of around 1.357 tonnes. The cargo is housed in two 1.405 cubic metre holds and on deck.
 
A cargo crane with a lifting capacity of up to 25 tonnes and an outreach of up to 16 metres is installed for unloading (compared to cranes with a lifting capacity of 2.5-3.5 tonnes on existing vessels).

Main engines power 2 x 1.003 kW. Speed 12.0 knots. Autonomy 15 days.

The crew is accommodated in 4 block cabins consisting of an office and a bedroom (captain, chief officer, passenger assistant captain, chief engineer), 1 single cabin (doctor) and 7 double cabins. All crew cabins are equipped with individual bathroom and shower. The total number of stationary sleeping places for the crew is 19.
 
The keel of the lead vessel of PV24 project "Anatoly Cherneev" (building number 7001) was laid down on 18.12.19. She was launched on 30.08.21.
