About the newest PV300 passenger vessel "Mustai Karim" in the publication of Baird Maritime



In September Baird Maritime published an article on its website about the lead PV300 passenger vessel for 329 passengers "Mustai Karim".

The article notes that PV300 vessel "Mustai Karim", named after the famous Bashkir poet, writer and playwright, was built in August 2020 for the company "Vodokhod" (CEO Rishat Bagautdinov). Such passenger ships at Russian factories have not been built for more than 60 years.
 
The construction of a cruise vessel of the PV300 project was carried out at the Krasnoye Sormovo shipyard in accordance with a trilateral contract signed in January 2017 - Krasnoye Sormovo, Vodokhod and the captive leasing company Mashpromleasing.
 
The project of this vessel, which until recently seemed fantastic, was created in 2010-2015 by the Marine Engineering Bureau by order of the Federal Agency for Maritime and River Transport of Russia within the framework of the FTP "Development of Civil Marine Engineering for 2009-2016" (state customer - program coordinator - Ministry industry and trade of the Russian Federation).
 
The British Royal Society RINA has included the PV300 passenger vessel "Mustai Karim" in Significant Ships of 2020, one of the 50 best ships built in the world in 2020.
 
On the night of August 28-29, 2020, for the FIRST TIME in history, a large PV300 cruise vessel "Mustai Karim" with passengers on board passed under the raised bridges on the Neva in St. Petersburg.
 
The purpose of such an option on a cruise is to be docked at the English Embankment in the city center.
 
Capacity of the PV300 4-deck cruise liner is 329 passengers, that are arranged in comfortable double cabins of 19-46 sq. m area.
 
The vessel works at the long cruise lines Moscow - St. Petersburg, Moscow - Astrakhan and Moscow - Rostov-on-Don.
 
The vessel has "all the attributes of a five-star hotel", including supporting passenger infrastructure.
 
Restaurant on the main deck is of 329 seats, so it is able to arrange all the passengers including children.
 
Public spaces of passengers are located along the entire length of the ship on four tiers of the superstructure, including the Agidel restaurant, Iremel restaurant, wine library, Bashkiria bar, Panorama bar, conference hall, SPA center, hairdresser, massage office, sauna, hammam, gym, gift shop, medical center, children's and playroom, 24-hour reception, open sun deck, lifts, bike rental.
 
Lifts connected all decks, communications and toilets, enlarged passageways and absence of obstacles for wheelchairs are foreseen for passengers with limited mobility.
 
Passanger capacity for ordinary existence vessels of "Volga-Don Max" class (301 and 302 projects) with now-days cabins is 200-220 people. At the new PV300 concept with the same overall dimensions about 300-350 passengers may be arranged very comfortable.
 
All passenger cabins are located on upper, boat and tent decks. There are no passenger cabins on the main deck, where crew members work during mooring, sluicing, passengers' deboarding, cargo operations and where may be high noise level or passengers' disturbed factors.
 
On board one "Grand Luxe" cabin with a balcony, two "Lux" cabins with a balcony; six "Lux" cabins, 140 "Deluxe" cabins and two "Junior" cabins, including those for passengers with limited mobility.
 
All cabins are equipped with eco-friendly materials, designer furniture and accessories. The rooms are decorated in restrained light colors and include elements of natural wood (designed by Guido de Groot).
 
Keel of PV300 cruise vessel "Mustai Karim" was laid down on 28.03.2017. She was launched 11.09.2019 and was accepted for operation 03.09.2020.
