The report "Current situation on the river fleet and mixed navigation vessels market, market development forecasts and new fleet construction"
  On 5 October 2021, the VI International Conference "Cargo transportation on the Dnieper river" organised by the company - information service "Industrial Cargo" (www.promgruz.com) took place.
The conference was attended by 90 specialists from companies involved in cargo export (primarily grain), agency, expediting, as well as representatives of financial institutions and banks, shipping companies, shipyards, ports, brokerage companies, etc.
There were 18 presentations in three main topics: inland waterways perspectives, shipping and shipbuilding, infrastructure and freight flows.
Marine Engineering Bureau, invited by the organisers, prepared a report "Current situation on the river fleet and mixed navigation vessels market, market development forecasts and construction of new fleet. Characteristics and features of new vessels".
The report describes the positive experience of river transport development in China, Europe and the USA. The current condition of the river and river-sea fleet is rated, with forecasts for the medium term.
Particular attention is paid to conversions and modernisations of mixed-navigation vessels at the Okean and Kherson Shipyard based on the RSD28, RSD37, 005RSD06 designs.
