Multipurpose shallow draft salvage and rescue tugboat MPSV12 "Kalas" delivered a mobile boiler unit to the shores of Nikolskoye village

According to the website of Kamchatka government, on January 27, 2022 the multipurpose shallow draft salvage and rescue vessel "Kalas" of MPSV12 project (construction number 1202) has transshipped the mobile boiler unit aboard the DCV47 project roll-on self-propelled barge "Sosnovka-3".
 
"Due to the hydro-technical features of Nikolskoye port, large ships cannot moor near the shore and unload, because the depths do not allow it. Therefore, transshipment took place at the roadstead. Around 4 a.m. the equipment was reloaded to Sosnovka," said Roman Vasilevsky, Deputy Chairman of the Government of Kamchatka Territory.
 
MPSV12 multifunctional salvage tugboat (MSV) is a small-draught (working diapason is of 3.2-4.5 m) vessel with Arctic ice Arc 5 class, with inclined stem, with double-tier long forecastle, with ER located in middle, with diesel power system, with 2 controllable-pitch propellers, with 2 bow thrusters and single aft one.
 
The construction yard - Nevsky Shipyard (general director Evgeny Kuznetsov).
 
The customer is the FSD "State Customer Management of Maritime Transport Development Programs" of the Federal Agency of Maritime and River Transport of the Russian Federation.
 
Vessel's project was designed by Marine Engineering Bureau.
 
The vessel is unique for its size and ARC5 Arctic ice class deadweight - with a draft of 4.50 m / 3.20 m it is 1.936 tons / 440 tons.
 
Keel of the MPSV12 head vessel "Bakhtemir" (building No. 1201) was laid on 02.06.2015. She was launched on 19.08.2016 and accepted for operation on 16.05.2019.
Keel of the second vessel "Kalas" (building No. 1202) was laid on 02.06.2015. She was launched on 29.11.2016 and accepted for operation on 06.12.2019.
Keel of the third vessel "Besiug" (building No. 1203) was laid on 16.12.2015. She was launched on 01.06.2017. and accepted for operation on 24.12.2020.
Keel of the fourth vessel "Piltun" (building No. 1204) was laid on 11.03.2016. She was launched on 30.11.2017. and accepted for operation on 15.12.2021.
 
Vessels of DCV47 project are designed for transportation of general, bulk, container cargoes on cargo deck, wheeled and tracked equipment by roll-on method, raid unloading and loading of vessels, delivery of these cargoes onto unequipped shore with possibility of drying on sand-gravel soil and providing horizontal discharge of delivered cargoes by means of bow ramp or by vessel cargo crane. The 2 m draught also makes it possible to enter some of the peninsula's rivers.
 
They were built in accordance with the Federal Target Programme "Economic and Social Development of the Far East and Trans-Baikal Region until 2013".
 
These are offshore roll-on roll-off self-propelled barges with a carrying capacity of 250 tons.
 
Keel of the lead vessel project DCV47 "Sosnovka 1" (building number 10500) was laid down on 13.01.10. She was launched on 13.05.11 and put into operation on 06.08.11.
Keel of the second vessel "Sosnovka 2" (building number 10501) was laid down on 18.01.10. She was launched on 25.05.11and put into operation on 06.08.11.
Keel of the third vessel "Sosnovka 3" (building number 10502) was laid down on 28.02.11. She was launched on 05.10.12 and put into operation on 07.11.12.
Keel of the fourth vessel "Kapitan Finashin" (ex. "Sosnovka 4, construction number 10503) was laid down on 11.03.11. She was launched on 08.10.12 and put into operation on 07.11.12.
