The Arctic 4 MW project MPSV07 "Spasatel Kavdeykin" took part in exercises in Aniva Bay

On April 20, 2022, the Marine Rescue Service website reported that the MPSV07 project "Spasatel Kavdeykin", a 4 MW multifunctional rescue vessel with Arctic ice class ARC5, participated in a complex OSR exercise in Aniva Bay.

In the course of the exercises the following was practiced: announcing the occurrence of a spill, communicating information to all stakeholders and cooperating organizations, gathering and arrival of personnel from the professional emergency rescue team on board the vessel on duty, detection and reconnaissance of a simulated oil spill, including by means of an unmanned aerial vehicle. Sixteen rescuers of the Sakhalin branch, together with the sailors of the rescue vessels localized and eliminated the conditional spill of oil products. "Spasatel Kavdeykin" and the rescue boat "MSS-03" demonstrated the construction of j-shaped order for the rapid response to the conditional spill and its further spreading in the bay. The exercise participants coped with the assigned tasks and were highly praised by the observers.

"Spasatel Kavdeykin" is a unique multifunctional Arctic rescue vessel by her equipment and available technology, built in 2013 by the Nevsky Shipyard (director Evgeny Kuznetsov) due to the order of FSUC "State Customer Management of Maritime Transport Development Programs" of the Federal Agency of Maritime and River Transport of the Russian Federation. Vessel was built in behalf of Marine Rescue Service.

Project MPSV07 was designed by Marine Engineering Bureau.
