Marine Engineering Bureau is recognized as a winner in nomination "Fleet Renovation 2008" of Ukrainian National Maritime Rate
 In accordance with Ukrainian National Maritime Rate 2008 made by "Ukrainian Ports" publishing company Marine Engineering Bureau (MEB) is recognized as a winner in nomination "Fleet Renovation 2008" as design company according projects of which most of all vessels have been built during last year.
During 2008 amount of 21 vessels was built and put into operation (19 vessels newly built vessels and 2 ones after large re-equipment) according to the MEB projects. Summarized deadweight is of 132 000 tons.
12 multi-purpose dry-cargo vessels, 5 product and chemical tankers, 1ferry boat for Black Sea operation, 1 bulk-carrier of ice category, 1 passenger vessel and 1 port tugboat were built during the year.
Besides, 4 multi-purpose dry-cargo vessels and 1 ferry boat for Black Sea operation were being completed with summarized deadweight of 28 000 tons (they were launched in 2008).
Vessel that were launched and put into operation had been built at shipyards in Russia - 11 vessels (6 dry-cargo vessels and 5 tankers), at Ukraine shipyards - 8 vessels (4 dry-cargo vessels, 2 ferries, 1 passenger vessel, 1 tug), at Turkey shipyards - 4 dry-cargo vessels and at China shipyards - 3 vessels (2 dry-cargo vessels and 1 bulk-carrier).
Congratulations of rate winners were carried out in solemn atmosphere on March 27, 2009.
