Brief totals of Marine Engineering Bureau 2009 work


18 new vessels and 6 vessels after considerable re-equipment were built and put into operation due to Marine Engineering Bureau (MEB) projects during 2009. Summarized deadweight of these vessels is of 196 000 tons.
 
7 multi-purpose dry-cargo vessels (DCV33, RSD20, 005RSD03, 005RSD06.02, 007RSD07, 003RSD04/ALB03 prjs.), 3 product-chemical tankers (RST22 prj.), 4 bulk carriers (BC14, BC42, BC48 prjs.), 2 train-ferries for Black Sea (CNF03 and CNF06 prjs.), 1 high-speed dry-cargo vessel (DCV16 prj.) and 1 icebreaking tug (TG04 prj.) were built. Summarized deadweight of vessels in operation is of 167000 tons.
 
3 dry-cargo vessels of 005RSD06, 1565 and 19620 prjs., 1 train-ferry of CNF03 prj., 1 tanker of 1577 prj., and bunkering tanker "Hilda" were modernized. Summarized deadweight of modernized vessels is of 28100 tons.
 
Vessels were built at: the Russian shipyards (4 dry-cargo vessels, 3 tankers and 1 icebreaking tug), Ukrainian shipyards (3 dry-cargo vessels, 2 ferries), Turkish shipyards (1 dry-cargo vessel) and Chinese shipyards (4 bulk carriers).
 
Modernizations were taken place at: Ukrainian shipyards (3 vessels), Russian shipyards (2 vessels) and Latvia (1 vessel).
 
Moreover, 5 multi-purpose dry-cargo vessels (005RSD03, 005RSD06.01, RSD08, RSD18 and DCV33 prjs), 1 train-ferry for Black Sea (CNF09 prj.), 1 passenger vessel (PV02 prj.) are being completed after launching.
