The third dry-cargo vessel "Ulus Sky" of "Caspian-Express" type (003RSD04 prj.) was launched

On April, 23, 2005 the third dry-cargo vessel "Ulus Sky" of "Caspian-Express" type was launched on "Cheksan" shipyard (Tuzla, Turkey) for "ALBROS" shipping company (Raim Alekperov is a general director). Vessel's deadweight is of 3740 tons. Vessel's Russian Maritime Register of Shipping class notation is of KM LU1 II A3.
 
Vessel's project 003RSD04 is designed by the Marine Engineering Bureau (MEB).
 
Vessel is destined for work with draught of 4.1-4.5 m at Russian ports of Azov and Caspian Seas with possibility sailing through on the Volga-Don canal. The vessel is a symbiosis product of the European coasters and Russian river-sea sailing conditions. It allows to transport project large-sized cargoes from European ports to Caspian ones.
 
Character feature is single vessel's box-shaped hold with sizes of 59.2 x 13.2 x 6.4 m (while designed vessel length is of 85 m). Hatch covers are of "folding" type. Capacity of single-screw engine with variable-pitch propeller is of 1290 kW and shaft generator capacity is of 216 kWt. Cruising speed is of 10.5 kn.
 
Vessel's keel was laid down on 11.11.04.
