Operation of "Sosnovka-1" and "Sosnovka-2" supply vessels of DCV47 project allows to bring commodities' cost down on 15% in Kamchatka out-settlements

Region authorities recommended businessmen in region out-settlements to put foodstuffs' prices down according to information from administration press-service of Kamchatka Region. This is because of an active operation of "Sosnovka-1" and "Sosnovka-2" supply vessels of DCV47 prj. at sea lines (vessels are operated by Kamchatka Region state unitary enterprise "KamchatTransFlot") which transport cargo in region out-settlements at reduced prices.

Vessels were built in accordance with Federal purpose program "Economical and social development of Far East and Transbaikalia till 2013" (Maritime and River Fleet Federal Agency of RF Transport Ministry is a customer).

"Delivery market price, for example, to Nickolskoe is 11.5 roubles for 1 kg of cargo. Our price is 5 roubles 20 kopecks. That is actually in 2 times lower" - deputy general director of SUE "KamchatTransFlot" Dmitry Grinko said.

As at June 7, 2012 "Sosnovka-1" and "Sosnovka-2" made 7 voyages to Nickolskoe and Tilichiki. Vessels delivered almost thousand tons of cargo.

"Sosnovka" type vessels deliver foodstuffs to out-settlements Besides building materials and equipment. More than 22 tons of supplies for local entrepreneurs only for the first 3 voyages to Nickolskoe was delivered.

"We transport one and all: vegetables, fruits, flour, sugar, salt, vegetable oil, groats. We have many applications" - Dmitry Grinko said.

Taking in account that transport logistic amounts reach up to 30% of foodstuffs' cost, shop prices in out-settlements (which are under "Sosnovka" type vessels operation) have to be lowered as minimum for 15% according to information of Head of Agency for State Property Management of Kamchatka region Sergey Lebedev. Such task was put by Governor of Kamchatka region Vladimir Ilyukhin.

"We sent recommendations about possibility of price reduction in connection with retrenchment of transport costs to Heads of municipal areas (in cooperation with entrepreneurs)" - Sergey Lebedev said.- "All information about cargo, freight rates and product names will be placed at our web-site. Every habitant will be able to check any cargo which will be transported to out-settlement (how it was transported, freight rate on that cargo and so on)".

In addition it is planned to place such information at data stands in settlements for price control in local shops from the side of habitants.

Vessels are working in Manilu village now (coal unloading).

"Surely that two barges are not enough, but two more barges of "Sosnovka" type will be delivered in autumn ("Sosnovka-3" and "Sosnovka-4") and I think we will be able to satisfy all demand" - Dmity Grinko said.
