Sosnovka Shipyard launched the fourth supply vessel "Sosnovka-4" of DCV47 project

On October 08, 2012 Sosnovka Shipyard (Murat Duguzhev is a general director) launched the fourth support vessel for Kamchatka of DCV47 project "Sosnovka-4" (building No. is of 10503).
 
The vessel was designed for Maritime and River Fleet Federal Agency of RF Transport Ministry.
 
Vessel is being built in accordance with Federal purpose plan "Economical and social development of Far East and Transbaikal till 2013" and will put into operation by the state unitary enterprise "KamchatTransFlot" of Kamchatka region.
 
The first two barges of DCV47 project "Sosnovka-1" and "Sosnovka-2" have been already successfully operated in Kamchatka.
 
According to the press service of the Kamchatka region's administration, approved by the Ministry of the land and property regulations, tariffs for cargoes' transportation for vessels of "Sosnovka" type are almost in 2 times lower than for the commercial vessels. It has a positive effect for the prices on products and goods delivered to the remote settlements of the region.
 
Authorities of the region recommended entrepreneurs to reduce prices for food in remote areas.
 
"Delivery market price, for example, to Nickolskoe is 11.5 roubles for 1 kg of cargo. Our price is 5 roubles 20 kopecks. That is actually in 2 times lower" - - deputy general director of SUE "KamchatTransFlot" Dmitry Grinko said.
 
Taking in account that transport logistic reach up to 30% of foodstuffs' cost, shop prices in out-settlements (which are under "Sosnovka" type vessels operation) have to be lowered as minimum for 15% according to information of head of Agency for state property management of Kamchatka region Sergey Lebedev. Such task was put by Governor of Kamchatka region Vladimir Ilyukhin.
 
"We sent recommendations about possibility of price reduction in connection with retrenchment of transport costs to heads of municipal areas (in cooperation with entrepreneurs)" - Sergey Lebedev said.- "All information about cargo, freight rates and product names will be placed at our web-site. Every habitant will be able to check any cargo which will be transported to out-settlement (how it was transported, freight rate on that cargo and so on)".
 
In addition it is planned to place such information at data stands in settlements for price control in local shops from the side of habitants.
 
By the June 7, 2012 "Sosnovka-1" and "Sosnovka-2" had made seven trips to Nikolskoye and Tilichiki and had been delivered nearly thousand tons of cargo.
 
"Sosnovka" transports to remote areas food besides the building materials and machinery. It was delivered over 22-tons of food for local entrepreneurs in Nikolskoye only for the first 3 trips.
 
"We carry everything: vegetables, fruit, - said Dmitry Grinko - flour, sugar, salt, butter, cereal. There are a lot of bids".
 
Seagoing ro-ro self-propelled barge with cargo lifting capacity of 250 t is assigned for transportations of general, bulk, container cargoes onto cargo deck, wheel and track vehicles (roll-on method); cargo loading/unloading on the roads; cargo delivery to unequipped shore with drainage ability on sand-gravel soil and providing horizontal unloading of delivered cargo with help of bow ramp or using the onboard cargo crane.
 
Vessel's project is designed by the Marine Engineering Bureau (MEB).
 
Vessel's principal dimensions are as follows:
 
Length overall is of 42.60 m;
Length between perpendiculars is of 38.40 m;
Breadth overall is about 8.82 m;
Breadth is of 8.60 m;
Draught (summer free board) is of 2.0 m;
Full speed is of 9 kn;
Main engines capacity is of 2 x 256 kWt.
 
Russian Maritime Registry of Shipping class notation is of KM Ice 2 R1 AUT3 OMBO.
 
Permitted load on cargo deck is of 15 tons per wheel vehicle axis or track vehicle weight up to 60 t.
 
Container capacity is of 12 TEU.
 
Cargo crane's capacity is of 7.3 t (while boom is of 20 m).
 
The keel of lead supply vessel "Sosnovka-1" of DCV47 project (building No. is of 10500) was laid down on 13.01.10. She was launched on 13.05.11 and put into operation 06.08.11.
The keel of the second supply vessel in the series "Sosnovka-2" (building No. is of 10501) was laid down on 18.01.10. She was put into operation on 06.08.11.
The keel of the third supply vessel in the series "Sosnovka-3" (building No. is of 10502) was laid down on 28.02.11. She was launched on 05.10.12.
The keel of the fourth supply vessel "Sosnovka-4" of DCV47 project (building No. is of 10503) was laid down on 11.03.11.
