The fourth dry-cargo vessel of the "Caspian Express" type was put into operation

On January, 05, 2006 the fourth dry-cargo vessel "Ulus Breeze"of "Caspian-Express" type was put into operation for "ALBROS" Shipping Company (Raim Alekperov is a general director). Vessel's deadweight is of 3750 tons.

Vessel was built at the "Ceksan" Shipyard (Tuzla, Turkey).

Vessel's project 003RSD04 is designed by the Marine Engineering Bureau (MEB).

Vessel's Russian Maritime Register of Shipping class notation is of KM LU1 II A3.

Vessel is destined for work with draughts of 4.1-4.5 m at Russian ports of Azov and Caspian Seas with possibility sailing through on the Volga-Don Canal. The vessel is a symbiosis product of the European coasters and Russian river-sea sailing conditions. It allows to transport project large-sized cargoes from European ports to Caspian ones.

The single vessel's hold is box-shaped with sizes of 59 x 13.2 x 6.4 m (designed vessel length is of 85 m). Hatch covers are of "multifolding" type. Capacity of single-screw engine with variable-pitch propeller is of 1290 kWt and shaft generator capacity is of 216 kWt. Cruising speed is of 10.5 kn.

Good manoeuvrability in river, shallow water, in the constrained conditions is ensured because of comparative small length and presence of bow thruster with capacity of 125 kWt.

Vessel's keel was laid down on 21.11.04. She was launched on 17.09.05. Vessel was put into operation on 05.01.06.

At present time, the fifth and sixth vessels in the series are being built. Launching of fifth vessel in the series is planned at the end of January, 2006.
