The second dry-cargo vessel's keel (RSD19 prj.) of "Volga-Don Max" class was laid down on Volgograd shipyard
On June, 30, 2006 the second in the series multipurpose dry-cargo motorship (RSD19 project, building number is 242) of "Khazar" type was laid down at Volgograd shipyard which is included in group of the companies "Marine and oil-and-gas projects" (MOP). Her deadweight is of 6750 tons.
Vessel's project is designed by the Marine Engineering Bureau (MEB).
Russian Maritime Register of Shipping class of the project is of KM  LU2  I A1.
Vessel belongs to so-called "Volga-Don Max" type due to MEB internal classification. She has maximum possible dimensions for Volga-Don canal.
With characterized draught of 3.60 m in Volga-Don canal deadweight is about 4340 tons, maximum deadweight in the sea with draught of 4.60 m is of 6750 tons.
Four vessels are ordered in total, option is four more vessels.
RSD19 prj. vessels have higher class for operation in the sea - I limited and higher standard of hull strength comparing to other vessels of "Volga-Don Max" type which are being built now (prj. 006RSD02 "Nadezhda" type, prj. 006RSD05 "Gejdar Aliev" type, 005RSD06.01 prj. "Chelsea" type).
Vessels are assigned for transportation of general, bulk, timber, grain and large-sized cargoes, containers and dangerous goods. Sailing regions are Mediterranean, Black, Baltic, White, North Seas, including voyages around Europe and to Irish Sea in winter.
RSD19 project vessel's overall length is of 139.95 m, breadth is of 16.50 m, depth is of 6.00 m.
Summarized capacity of four cargo holds is of 10960 cubic m. Hatch covers are of "folding" type.
The vessel is of double-screw type with fixed-pitch propellers. Cruising speed is not less than 10.5 knots. Summarized power of main engines is of 2400 kWt.
IFO380 is a main fuel. Capacity of maneuvering propulsion device is of 200 kWt.
Fuel autonomy is of 20 days. Crew consists of 13 people.
