International Conference On Safety & Reliability of Ship, Offshore & Subsea Structures (ASRANet) have been finished in the Glasgow

18th-20th of August, 2014 the 7th International Conference On Safety & Reliability of Ship, Offshore & Subsea Structures (ASRANet) took place in the Glasgow (GB).

About 100 scientists from different countries took part in the ASRANet Conference workout, as follows: Norway, Denmark, Germany, Greece, Ukraine, Japan, Australia, Malaysia, China, India, South Korea, Singapore, Canada and Saudi Arabian. Totally about 55 reports were introduced.

Specialists from Marine Engineering Bureau introduced a report "Reliability and risk research of hulls of mixed river-sea navigation tankers of "Volgoneft" type", G.V.Egorov and A.G.Egorov are the authors.

Report actuality was highlighted due to present native situation, because main ecologic problem of Volgoneft type tankers is presence of double bottom which is not meeting MARPOL requirements. Beginning from 2005, non-modernized Volgoneft tankers should not be operated for heavy oil and oil products transportations (i.e. cargoes with s.g. 0.90 and more).

International Conference On Safety & Reliability of Ship, Offshore & Subsea Structures (ASRANet) have started its work in 2002.

ASRANet Conference took place every 2 years: in Glasgow (2002), Barcelona (2004), Glasgow (2006), Athens (2008), Edinburgh (2010), London (2012).

Specialists from Marine engineering Bureau have participated in ASRANet Conference beginning from its foundation.
